Astronomar

Astronomar has been stirring up and building alliances in the dance music community since his arrival in Seattle 2008. Known for his unique formula of turning traditional tracks into dance floor favorites, Astronomar, has carved a solid groove for himself and his DJ tandem FileJerks. Through his few DJ competition appearances and many residency nights he has been given opportunities to share the stage with the likes of LA Riots, Kool Keith, Douster, Neoteric, Rye Rye & DJ Craze just to name a few.

Astronomar’s first single ‘Had to Move On’ (released via Discobelle) was featured on many of festival tracklists for the 2010 summer season with the help of Crookers featuring it in sets on their Dr.Gonzo tour. With upcoming EPs on Top Billin Records, his recent release on Mad Decent’s new label annex Jeffree’s and many high volume club remixes in store, Astronomar is a name to look out for in the new US Club scene.
